June meeting

A few days after the May meeting, my husband and I traveled to Dallas to visit his family. While there, I received a phone call from Baylor All Saints Hospital in Ft. Worth--a kidney was available for a transplant for me! It's a long story but of course we made a dash to Ft. Worth and the transplant took place on May 13, which was Mother's Day. Not a day I usually celebrate, but this one will always be special to me. While I was in Ft. Worth for follow up care, the Sassies met on June 14. I had to miss that meeting, but Lola took pictures. Enjoy!
A traditional quilt by Debbie

This one is Lola's quilt. The pattern is called Woven Ribbon. Very interesting!
Diane Purcell's prayer shawl

Dolly's Broken Bricks Quilt. The strips were sewn by the group and the strips were sewn together by Dolly.

Debbie's colorful quilt. An innovative design!

Linda's stained glass quilt.

Essie, busy as always, brought several quilts to this meeting. Here's the first one.

Essie's second quilt

Essie's third quilt

Eva's been busy too, in spite of health concerns. Here's one quilt she finished.

This is Eva's second quilt. The narrow black stripes make the "stained glass" panels glow with light!
Looks like another donation quilt. Our stack of them has been growing! That's Meg holding it up.

Susan is another prolific quilter! Here's one of 2 quilts she brought to the meeting.

Here's one of 2 purses Susan brought to Show and Tell.

Here's the second purse that Susan showed us.

Love the yummy pink and green palette. There's a lot of motion in those spinner blocks!

This is Mary Ann's quilt. I like how she placed the middle square in different locations in each block!
I am back in Arkansas, and I hope to see everyone at the July meeting!
