A few days after the May meeting, my husband and I traveled to Dallas to
visit his family. While there, I received a phone call from Baylor All
Saints Hospital in Ft. Worth--a kidney was available for a transplant
for me! It's a long story but of course we made a dash to Ft. Worth and
the transplant took place on May 13, which was Mother's Day. Not a day I
usually celebrate, but this one will always be special to me. While I
was in Ft. Worth for follow up care, the Sassies met on June 14. I had
to miss that meeting, but Lola took pictures. Enjoy!
