April Meeting

We met at Meg's house on April 10th. Present were Mozelle, Cyndi with Olivia, Sheila, Sylvia, Debbie, Susan, Dolly with Charlie, Meg, and Marcia. We had some delicious muffins and peanuts provided by our hostesses, Sylvia and Debbie. After visiting for awhile, we had show-and-tell.

Mozelle showed her finished redwork quilt. She embroidered some of the blocks herself, but most were given to her already embroidered. Very nice sashing, too!

 Susan showed her very masculine Maze quilt. She's been working on this for awhile during the Thursday group meetings. Very graphic, and the colors work so well together.  It's hard to see what the block is, it blends so well.

 

She also showed this lovely quilt in autumn hues. Again, the block is hard to find.

No one else had anything to show, so we moved on to our project. Debbie and Sylvia provided kits to make these nifty organizers, which could be hung on the wall or a chair, or worn as an apron. They have lots of pockets for our sewing tools. Debbie instructed us on how to put them together.  The pattern came from Sew-It magazine. We each finished one to take home. Thank you, ladies!

Our next meeting will be Thursday, May 8th at Meg's.
